In 2010 the Spencer Foundation commissioned an in-depth review of the Dissertation and Postdoctoral fellowship programs that was conducted by Adam Gamoran and Larry Hedges. The review was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the fellowship programs in meeting their stated objectives.
